Mission Statement: To Create and Foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world. To Promote the principles of good government and good citizenship. To Take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community.

These are the five pillars of Lions Club Service that we promote:

1. Vision
2. Hunger
3. Diabetes
4. Cancer
5. Environment

To be a Lion means knowing that kindness matters. We believe in changing the world by serving the needs of our local communities. Come volunteer with us.

We have functions throughout the year to assist people with free vision screenings. For those in the community that have need, we also assist with eyecare assistance for glasses and doctor eye exams. We are able to assist with cataract surgeries and long-term vision care through the Mid-South Lions organization. We also collect and recycle old eyeglasses.

We have adopted a section of highway to keep clean. (Slack St in front of Walmart down to It’ll Do Road). We schedule “trash pickup” days to maintain this area. We have also planted trees and donated benches in community areas.

We make monetary donations for community projects like Angel Tree and Bright Futures. We participate in community events such as Freedom Fest, Christmas Parade and the Mule Jump whereby we give free water, coffee, donuts and candy.

To find out more about Lions Club, please call Renee Broussard, President, at 337-591-2494 or come to one of our meetings at the School Heritage Building (next door to the Pea Ridge Intermediate School) held at 6pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.
